About Us

Journey - So easy was the service, and so certain the success, that it was rather to be called a journey than a war.


 

Journeys was created in March 2008, out of a passion for the women of God ,strong christian fellowship and a love for literature. The Lord gave me the name Journeys after much prayer and reflection on my own life's  journey and that of other christian women.

Journeys is a place where the women of God who enjoy reading can come together to

glorify God, discuss points of view on good literature, share thoughts , laughter,tears and pray. Journeys  has proven to me to be a place where sisterhood can thrive. I have met wonderful women of faith who at any given time will come if  I call and pray when I can't.

Life in general is difficult... so full of day to day trials and battles we must face, but the word of God reminds us, as we travel the path with Him ...so easy is the task, and so certain of it's success... we must look at it as a Journey rather than a war ...

Because the battle has already been won.

How It Works

 

Journeys is a local orginazation of African American Christian Women. We, however welcome any woman who loves God and enjoys reading.  Our purpose is to glorify  God always... strengthen relationships with Him as well as each other. Each Month Journeys will get together to have  thought- provoking discussions on a previosuly announced book. We are asked to journal these thoughts and find biblical references in them. Journeys book club does not have membership dues...  all we ask is that you Love God and Enjoy reading!

Each women will have the opportunity to choose a book of the month and the meeting place. This allows us to share one anothers interests and discovery of new writing talent. We do however ask that all books be good healthy reads and christian based.
